Michele has enjoyed working in the Veterinary field for over 10 years. She previously worked in human healthcare, including Yale Transplant unit, CT Hospice, Clinical Massage and Reiki Therapy. An avid lifelong dog and horse enthusiast, she lives with her two rescued dogs, Puck a Border Collie mix, Jeffrey, a pit bull, and her 36 year old Chincoteague pony. Michele is very active in the dog community as a breed equality advocate, Licensed Pet Partners therapy dog evaluator and handler of 10 years, dog sport competitor and instructor, trainer, and “animal behavior junkie”. She loves both people and animals making Veterinary a perfect field fit. Her proudest accomplishment is accompanying Jeffrey from the euthanasia list at Manhattan ACC to becoming a beloved, in demand therapy dog, community advocate, and the first Pit Bull in history to earn the highest achievement in the sport of World Cynosport Rally Obedience, the ARCH-MX(Master Champion Title). They’ve hosted an annual community donation drive, “Jeffrey’s Joy of Giving,” since 2012 collecting thousands of pounds of pet food and supplies for local shelters, nonperishable food and toiletries for local homeless shelters, and thousands of dollars in monetary donations for various charities. She loves being part of the VetEvolve Madison Animal Wellness Center team!
Heidi has been with East Shore veterinary Hospital since February 2019. Heidi’s passion for animals started at a very young age - her very first job was volunteering at an animal hospital at age 16. She has been working with animals for over 30 years. Since then, Heidi has worked at many hospitals throughout her career honing her skills as kennel help, technician, reception, office manager, and now Practice Manager. Heidi is active in Pitbull Rescue and shares her home with her 2 rescued pitties - Scooby and Cassie - and her orange cat Butters. Outside of work Heidi loves to cook and bake for her husband Frank and their family.
Brianna began her tech assisting career at East Shore in August of 2018. She graduated from the University of Saint Joseph with her B.S. in Biology in May of 2018. Brianna has always had a passion for animals and even volunteered at Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in high school. She currently lives in East Haven with her 3 dogs (Winnie, Olive and Mini), and guinea pig (Gogo). Brianna is best known in the clinic for her uncanny ability to remember just about anything, and knows most clients and pets by name.
Michele is a veterinary technician and has been working for East Shore since 2011. She graduated from Middlesex Community College with a veterinary technology degree in May of 2022. Her passion is animals. She has 4 cats; two calicos and two tigers - Rosie, Daisy, Lizzy, and Lacey. Her cats mean the world to her and she doesn't know what she would do without them! She likes to vacation in Maine with her family. She spends her free time with her family and friends.
Alyssa started working at East Shore in 2015 as a Veterinary Technician Assistant and kennel worker. She graduated from Middlesex Community College with her associates in Veterinary Technology in 2019. She has always had a love for animals since a young age and is looking forward to what this rewarding career has in store for her future. Alyssa lives in New Haven with her dog and cat. Alyssa is our longest serving Tech and our go to person with any questions.
Erica is a Connecticut native. She has been a veterinary technician for 26 years. She graduated with a bachelor of science degree in animal sciences from University of Connecticut in 1996. She lives in Killingworth with her family, two dogs, miniature horses, and chickens. Erica teaches Jazzercise and volunteers at Manes and Motions, a therapeutic riding center in her spare time.
